Lyle Donkersloot Childhood

Lyle Donkersloot grew up in Sanborn, Iowa and spent much of his life following in his fathers footsteps. As a senior in high school, Lyle Donkersloot enlisted in the United State Army, without the knowledge or consent of his parents, during the Vietnam War.

Lyle Donkersloot served in Thailand and Ethiopia. After serving his country, Donkersloot attended college and started his farming career. He farmed for 31 years and owned and operated Chopper Central in Okoboji.

Lyle Donkersloot is co-owner and Super Salesman for Chopper Central.
First motorcycle of Lyle Donkersloot was a 305 Yamaha in 1967. He upgraded to a 350 Honda before he could afford his first shovelhead.
Lyle Donkersloot was in the army from 1970-1973 spending one year in Southeast Asia and six months in Ethiopia.
Lyle currently farms 1700 Acres of corn and soybeans. He had an identity crisis five years ago when he quit raising pigs not being able to introduce himself as a �Pig Farmer from Iowa�.
Lyle Donkersloot is currently a long time member of the El Forastero Motorcycle Club. He is a real 1%er!
Donkersloot sponsored and went drag racing with Tator Gilmore, top fuel drag racer at Harley drag races everywhere. Lyle has attended motorcycle events in Europe and all around the country. He has been to Daytona several times and ridden to Sturgis over 20 times.
Lyle Donkersloot bought a new softtail custom in 1989 he cut it in half, stretched it, raked it, and had it all repainted before he ever rode it. He has put in three new motors, three new transmissions, and repainted it three times.
Lyle Donkersloot has rebuilt the motor four times. He has ridden the bike to California four times, and crashed in five states.
